About Beales Gourmet

Tony Beales, chef and proprietor of Beales Gourmet has an illustrious background. Having trained for three years at Bournemouth and Poole College, he then spent three years in London continuing his training at establishments such as Harrods, Hyatt Carlton Towers and working for Anton Mossiman’s outside catering company. It was in London where Tony won the prestigious ‘Academy Culinaire Award of Excellence’ – equivalent to young chef of the year. He then continued his training at a two Michelin-starred restaurant in Provence. After travelling the world sampling cuisine from every continent, Tony then spent ten years in the south of France catering on board private yachts, in exclusive alpine chalets and in private residences before holding the prestigious title of personal chef to the Queen of Bahrain for two years. However, like most ambitious chefs, Tony had always dreamed of setting up on his own so he decided to return to his roots and open his own catering business in 2005.

Based at Compton Acres in Canford Cliffs, Beales Gourmet is the resident caterer for the prestigious Italian Villa and is one of the nominated caterers for Highcliffe Castle and The Opera House, as well as catering for private functions, marquee and corporate events.

Whatever the size of the function, the emphasis is on a high standard of food with top class presentation. As well as offering set menus, Beales Gourmet specialises in creating personalised packages that are customised to suit each client. So whether you would like a glamorous dinner party or causal garden barbeque – anything is possible!
