PRESS RELEASE – Issued 4th Sept 2017
Organisers of the Dorset Tourism Awards have chosen award-winning Dorset caterers, Beales Gourmet, to impress their guests at this year’s gala awards dinner. The awards celebrate the very best businesses in the county’s tourism industry, which is worth £1.25bn to the local economy.
The award-winning caterers were selected by Services for Tourism, who have organised these awards for the past 5 years.
Robin Barker, who runs Services for Tourism, said:
“We are thrilled to have Beales Gourmet on board as our award ceremony caterers. Tony and his team have an exceptional reputation for quality and for using the best local ingredients. This ceremony is all about the ‘Best of Dorset’, so it makes sense to use the best!”
Tony Beales, Managing Director of Beales Gourmet, commented:
“It is our honour to cater these prestigious awards. As a recipient of a number of Dorset Tourism Awards for our own venue – The Italian Villa – we know just how special they are, and we’re looking forward to producing something spectacular for guests at the gala dinner, using some of the incredible local ingredients we’re lucky enough to have in Dorset.”
The awards, now in their fifth year, have moved to a bigger venue to accommodate popularity and demand. The awards will take place on 16 November 2017 at The Lighthouse, Poole, where around 300 finalists and guests are expected to attend. Winners from the Dorset Tourism Awards often progress to the South West Tourism Awards and the national Visit England Awards.
